Real Estate, Without the Noise.
The "first rate hike since 2023" headline had a few people reaching out this week wondering if it's still a good time to buy. My answer's the same as it was last issue: it depends on your specific numbers, not the headline. On a typical loan, this hike works out to about $50 a month — real, but rarely the difference between yes and no on a home you actually want.
If you've been sitting on the sidelines waiting for rates to drop before you start looking, I'd rather run your actual numbers with you than let a headline make the decision for you — including whether a seller-paid rate buy down might make more sense than waiting.
New insight every Wednesday morning.
